CITY TOUR:TOWER BRIDGE/LONDON EYE/MADAME TUSSAUDS
by Erika Guarino
Best ever
Alexandrite Branch Manager Henson Tan minced no words in his assessment of the latest International Sales Convention in London. “It was indeed the best ever International Convention compared to the last 11 that we have attended. This convention was full-packed with activities from the time that we arrived in London up to the time of the gala dinner…It can be physically tiring for some of the delegates, but there were a lot of fun in each of those days.” He recalled some of the highlights— the visit to Holborn Bars, the Stonehenge and Bath tour, the Madame Tussauds wax museum tour, the surprise river cruise along Thames on the way to the Millennium Dome with matching Scottish paper and the Fellowship Night’s musical finale—it’s small wonder why Mr. Tan calls it the best ever.
“In this convention, we have seen how our Company showed its support and care for its delegates,” he said. Of course, Mr. Tan is not planning on missing the next one. And as early as now, his hopes are up. “We know that there will be more delegates coming from our branch and our Company as well.”
Indulging her love of art
I am, and always will be, an art lover,” declared Imperial Topaz’ Rene Bersales. And so quite naturally, the firsttime International Sales Convention Qualifier indulged her passion and visually feasted on classic works of art. “Words are not enough to describe how amazing the works of Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, Manet, Picasso, Pissarro, Degas, Cezanne and Seurat are, or how my breath was taken away by exceptional paintings of Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Rueben, Rembrandt. If I were given another opportunity, I will return to the National Gallery and gaze at the beauty that are these paintings, all over again.” Spoken like a true art lover.
When the volcano in Iceland spewed out ashes that threatened to dampen their trip, this Unit Manager realized a couple of things about her Company. “Unexpected events reveal how an institution behaves naturally. While we were stranded, we couldn’t help but express our deepest gratitude to our Company’s generosity and how they really took care of us. While others were panicking over the sudden tragedy, we stayed calm because we were confident that our company will take care of us,” Ms. Bersales said. “I would like to grow old with this Company as I know that it truly values not only its clients but also the Agency force. Thank you, Pru Life UK.”
