OLD LONDON TOWN TOUR
by Erika Guarino
Third-time’s a charm
Diamond’s lady chief Che Martinez has been to London twice before so the veteran Branch Manager actually thought of encashing her trip. Fortunately for her, she didn’t. “When Peter (Grimes) insisted, I kind of suspected that this was going to be his showcase and so I went expecting only the best! And I was not disappointed. From the choice of the airline to the choice of the hotel...Oh my!” “Our visit to our Head Office where we met our Chairman was quite an experience! We were treated like we were the best thing that ever happened to Prudential. What a feeling! All our activities screamed ‘Each one of you is special!’”
And as they soon found out, being stranded did not change the positive vibe of the trip. While every other tourist in London was anxious, Ms. Martinez together with her fellow qualifiers were having a grand time. “When we got stranded because of the ash fall, I looked at it as God’s hand wanting me to enjoy London even more…The transition from the end of convention to the extended stay was seamless,” she narrated. As a nine-time International Sales Convention Qualifier, impressing Ms. Martinez would seem like a tall task. But not this time. “If I was going to rate this on a scale of one to 10, it will have to go through the roof. This experience only confirmed what I have always believed in—that there is no company better than my Company! If I was proud then, I am even prouder now!”
Blessed to be with Pru Life UK
If you ask Crystal Quartz Branch Manager Terry Robles how she feels about working for Pru Life UK, she will probably tell you that she feels blessed. And that feeling was magnified during their recent trip to London, especially while they were stranded. “We felt that we were so blessed to be working with Pru Life UK. Our executives (Sirs Peter, Max and Mark) were always in touch, asking us for our plans, and assuring us that we would be taken care of,” Ms. Robles shared. She fondly recounts their visit to Holborn Bars (“The daily volume of transactions— issuance of policies, processing of claims, numbering of policies, etc., was done systematically and speedily although there were no computers at that time yet.”), the surprise cruise along the Thames River, enjoying British musical theater and the trip to Stonehenge (“We had a marvelous lunch of three huge lamb chops each! Almost everyone finished off the meal because it was so delicious!”), among many others.
