December 2009 Editorial

Another year will soon be past us, and many are simply relieved. Gone are the unpleasant experiences of 2009, as everyone anticipates the upturn that 2010 promises to bring. Albeit a delayed reaction, I feel that it is this hope that fuels people as they go about their activities to finish off the year.

I noticed that at the beginning the middle of December, everybody suddenly became busy with shopping for presents, new clothes and gadgets, parties and celebrations—basically, anything materially symbolic of the holiday season. Email messages of greetings with all kinds of animations poured in too, this time happily welcomed and read by everybody with amusement.

What makes Pru Life UK just great is that everybody manages to engage in all these happenings, at the same time each one is doing yeoman’s service. And, there is no exception—agency force and support groups alike—everybody has his work cut out.

While there is still unfinished business to settle at this time, it would be good, however, to take a breather. To spend time with family and friends and be encouraged, edified and energized. Let’s all enjoy the vacation, then when we get back after the season’s break, we can look forward to what our gumptious CEO refers to as more exciting things ahead for Pru Life UK.

Merry Christmas everyone!
