Pru Life UK reaps seven honors at the Philippine Quill Awards 2014

British life insurer Pru Life UK sustains its excellence in business communications as it notched seven honors at the Philippine Quill Awards 2014 held on March 9 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas, Pasig.

Awards of Excellence were given to the Prudence Foundation Regional PRUVolunteer Programme 2014 (Communication Management Division, Corporate Social Responsibility Category) and PRUCentre – the Man from the Pru’s next generation sales presenter (Communication Skills Division, Digital Communication Vehicles Category). The Regional PRUVolunteer Programme 2014 is a post-Yolanda relief and recovery initiative by Pru Life UK regional headquarters Prudential Corporation Asia unified charitable arm Prudence Foundation which brought together over 200 employees from 12 countries across Asia and the United Kingdom to help build 135 disaster-resilient homes and support sustainable livelihood in Sta. Fe, Bantayan Island, Cebu. PRUCentre is a comprehensive digital resource that allows Pru Life UK agents to conduct all their presentations with their iPads.

Pru Life UK likewise took home three Awards of Merit under the Communication Management Division. Safe Steps, a groundbreaking multi-platform pan-Asian disaster preparedness programme developed by Prudence Foundation and National Geographic Channel featuring boxing superstar and humanitarian Manny Pacquiao as its Ambassador, won in the Advocacy Communication Category. Recognized in the Corporate Social Responsibility Category is post-Yolanda donation initiative ‘Charity’ featuring American rock band Journey frontman Arnel Pineda, a new episode of financial literacy edutainment television show Cha-Ching. Cha-Ching is an award-winning multi-country multi-platform program which aims to teach children aged 7 to 12 four fundamental money smart values – earn, save, spend and donate. Pru Life UK’s Regional Brand Campaign – The Man from the Pru, celebrating the Pru Life UK financial consultant’s role as agents of hope as they help build financially secure futures for their clients, was also awarded in the Brand Communication Category.

Also bringing home Awards of Merit in the Communication Skills Division are Pursuit of the World Cup Dream: Pru Life UK Training Support to the U11 Boys Football Team (Little Azkals) [Special Events – External (training) Category] and Pru Life UK Financial Literacy Infographs (Other Graphic Design Category).

An annual recognition conferred by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC)-Philippines, the Philippine Quill Awards is regarded as the most prestigious and relevant award for business communicators. It recognizes excellent communication programs, skills, and creative work.
