Gran Fondo | 30km, 60km, 100km

Enjoy a safe, well-organized and timed ride with the following distances:
Gran Fondo 30km - recommended for beginners
Gran Fondo 60km - slightly condensed format than the 100km
Gran Fondo 100km – recommended for professional cyclists

Kids Ride  (FREE Registration)
A fun and friendly race for kids ages 2 to 7 years old.
 
Family Fun Ride​ l 5km  (FREE Registration)
A group ride that the whole family can enjoy. All kinds of families are welcome!

Virtual PRURide | 175km  (FREE Registration)
A virtual race for professional and amateur cyclists, instead of competing in a road cycling race. The cyclist finishing the 175km with the best time will be declared as this category’s winner.​

Mechanics

Gran Fondo Specific Regulations

Gran Fondo is a non-competitive, non-racing event. It is open to any individual and teams. Participants can join different pace groups whether beginner, intermediate, or advance. 

Categories

  • Gran Fondo – 30 kilometers 

  • Gran Fondo – 60 kilometers 

  • Gran Fondo – 100 kilometers


Minimum age requirement l 18 years old

Ride Timeline l 05:00 am to 11:30 am with the following starting time for each category:
04:00 am – Assembly
05:00 am – 100KM
05:25 am – 60KM
05:40 am – 30KM

Event Method
  1. Allowed bikes are those with brakes and wheels bigger than 16 inches. These are Road Bikes, MTB Bikes, Gravel Bikes, BMX Bikes, Folding Bikes, E-Bikes, ITT Bikes, Fat Bikes, or Japan Bikes.

  2. Participants are given a six (6)-hour period to complete the whole course (regardless if 100KM, 60KM or 30KM). After which they will be requested to ride the support vehicles to give-way for the next event.

  3. All participants must wear minimum safety gear. No helmet, no ride rule will be strictly implemented. Participants are also encouraged to bring headlights and blinkers, especially for the 100KM who will be starting at 05:30 am.

  4. In case of an accident, ambulances are on standby and can be reached through hotline numbers provided on all directional signs and the medic stations, water stations and aid stations along the route.

  5. Support vehicles from the organizers are allowed only at the rear of the Gran Fondo with the supervision of a commissaire.

Conduct of Riders
  1. Only cyclists who are in good health and have no medical condition or any illness or symptoms of illness at  the time of the cycling event can join.

  2. General principles of sportsmanship are expected from all riders.

  3. Dangerous and reckless riding, foul language, sexist, discriminatory and violent behaviors will not be tolerated.

  4. Be respectful and mindful of other people and the environment.

  5. Riders may not, without due care, jettison food, bonk-bags, feeding bottles, clothes, etc. in any place whatsoever.

  6. Riders may not jettison anything on the roadway itself but shall draw to the side of the road and safely deposit the object there.

  7. If waste zones are established by the organizer, the rider must safely and exclusively deposit their waste on the sides of the road in this area.

  8. Carrying and/or using glass objects are not allowed.

  2. Participant can set his/her saddle height and shall use only the flat pedals of the bike.
  3. Complete one lap of the Virtual PRURide (equivalent to 5KM Zwift course).
  4. Top 6 participants with the fastest recorded time to qualify for the Virtual PRURide Grand Finals on 21 May 2023 in Clark Global City, Pampanga.
  5. Top 3 finishers of the 175 KM Virtual PRURide Grand Finals on 21 May 2023 in Clark Global City, Pampanga will get the following:
    P10,000 – first prize
    P5,000 – second prize
    P3,000 – third prize

For Cebu

  1. Sign up for FREE at the Virtual PRURide booth in SM Seaside Cebu on 30 April (Sunday), 11:00am to 8:00pm to join.

  2. Who are eligible to join the Gran Fondo?
    All amateur, professional, leisure riders and cycle enthusiasts age 18 years old and above, who are in good health and have no medical condition or are afflicted with any disease or symptoms of illness can register and join.
On Registration and Payment
  1. How much is the registration fee?
    The Gran Fondo registration fee is Php 1,000.
    The Family Fun Ride, Virtual PRURide, PRURide Expo activities and live concert are FREE for everyone.
  2. When is the deadline for registration?
    • Deadline of registration for PRURide PH 2023 – Clark is on 17 May 2023 (Wednesday).
    • Deadline of registration for PRURide PH 2023 – Cebu is on 24 May 2023 (Wednesday).  
  3. Can I register on the day of the ride?
    No. Walk-in registrants are not allowed for the races. Registration can only be done online to secure a cycling kit.  
  4. Do I need to register for the other activities?
    No. You don’t need to register for the other activities like the Family Fun Ride, Virtual PRURide, Kids Ride and/or concert.
  5. How do I register for the Gran Fondo?
    Click the 'Register Now' button. Upon successful registration and payment, you will receive an email confirmation with your registration details within 48 hours.
  6. Can I register for someone else?
    Yes you can but you need to input their details and give them a copy of the confirmation e-mail so they can claim their cycling kit. 
  7. Can I transfer my registration to someone else?
    No. Race registration is non-transferable.
  8. How do I register for the Virtual PRURide?
    For Clark, sign up for FREE at the Virtual PRURide booth on 7 May in SM Clark, Pampanga. Top 6 participants with the fastest recorded time to qualify for the Virtual PRURide Grand Finals on 21 May 2023 in Clark Global City, Pampanga.

  11. I didn’t receive any email after submitting my proof of payment. What do I do?

  12. Can I get a refund if I fail to join the race day/I no longer want to join PRURide?
    No. Registration fees are non-refundable if the registered participant is unable to race.
On The Cycling Categories
  1. Can I join multiple cycling distances in Gran Fondo?
    You can only register in one (1) cycling distance in Gran Fondo per location (Clark and/or Cebu).
  2. What are the types of bikes allowed for Gran Fondo?
    For Gran Fondo, all types of bike with brakes and wheels bigger than 16 inches are allowed. These are Road Bikes, MTB Bikes, Gravel Bikes, BMX Bikes, Folding Bikes, E-Bikes, ITT Bikes, Fat Bikes, or Japan Bikes.
  3. Are there other activities aside from the Gran Fondo?
    Yes, there are a lot of fun activities FREE for everyone. Joining these activities do not require registration, so you can bring the whole family and friends!
  4. Can I still change my category after I’ve paid?
    Yes, you can change your category until before the race day. You can email secretariat@withoutlimits.ph with the details of your current category and your new preferred category. Changing categories on the day of the event will not be allowed. 
On Cycling Kit Claiming
  1. What’s included in the cycling kit?
    Your kit includes a dri-fit jersey, race bib, drawstring bag and medal for the finishers.

      Please present your confirmation email (printed or mobile) and valid ID to claim your kit.

  3. Can I send an authorized representative to claim my kit on my behalf?
    Yes, an authorized representative can claim your cycling kit. He/she needs to present an authorization letter, copy of your ID, vaccination card and proof of registration upon claiming.
  4. How many cycling kits do I get if I register in Clark and Cebu?
    You will get one (1) cycling kit per cycling event you registered for.
  5. I registered but unable to join PRURide. Can I still claim my kit after the event?
    Unfortunately, race kits will be forfeited if unclaimed on the day of the event. 
On Ride Day, Logistics and Safety
  1. Do I get an accident insurance coverage?
    All registered participants will be given an accident insurance for the event day only.
  2. Can I join even if I have flu-like symptoms?
    Only cyclists who are in good health with no medical condition or any disease or symptoms of illness at the time of the cycling event can join.
  3. Where can I find first aid stations in case of emergencies?
    A designated first aid station is located near the registration area. Trained personnel are also ready to respond to emergencies within the race area.  
  4. Are there designated water stations along the routes?
    Yes, there are water stations at designated areas of the race routes.
  5. If I bring a car, where can I park?
    There will be designated parking areas.
  6. Is there an official and secure place where I can deposit my things while I participate in the event?
    Yes, there will be a designated baggage area.
  7. Are pets allowed?
    Yes, pets are allowed at the PRURide Expo.
