One of the top women racing cyclists in the world, American-born pure-bred Filipino Coryn Rivera of Team Sunweb is gracing Pru Life UK’s PRURide PH 2018 beginning this weekend, January 11-14 in Subic, Zambales and on January 21 in McKinley West, Taguig.
In her 14 years as a competitive cyclist, Rivera has already achieved several cycling accolades. She turned professional at age 16 and has amassed a total of 71 US national championships in four different cycling disciplines: road, track, cyclocross, and mountain bike. She has raced in the junior, collegiate, under-23, and professional categories over her career.
Rivera has also competed at the highest levels of the sport such as senior and junior world championships, track world cups, Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) road world cups, and pan-American championships. She is currently the first ever American – male or female – to win the Tour of Flanders, and she recently won first place in the 2017 Prudential RideLondon Classique.
