Cha-Ching is a globally recognized and award-winning financial education programme for children aged 7–12, developed by Prudence Foundation, the charitable arm of Prudential plc in Asia and Africa. It centers on a series of animated, music-based cartoons created in partnership with Cartoon Network Asia and Emmy Award–winning children’s educational specialist Dr. Alice Wilder, as well as a school-based curriculum developed with Junior Achievement Asia Pacific to instill positive values, knowledge, and behaviours around money in children.

In the Philippines, the Cha-Ching programme has been integrated into the Grade 4 school curriculum through a partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) and JA Philippines. The programme has expanded across the National Capital Region, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and the Negros Island Region, reaffirming DepEd’s commitment to fostering financial literacy among Filipino youth.

The Bicol Region has also become the first region in the Philippines to institutionalise and fully integrate Cha-Ching into the Department of Education’s school curriculum, marking a major milestone in the expansion of financial literacy education through the programme.

To date, over 1.5 million children in the Philippines have been taught Cha-Ching, and more than 47,000 teachers have been trained and retrained across partner schools nationwide.
