Pru Life UK welcomed the Lunar New Year with a day of festivities in Binondo, Manila – the world’s oldest Chinatown – ahead everyone on February 14.
To bring in good luck and fortune this Year of the Earth Dog, the celebration of the Chinese heritage was highlighted by a lion dance at the Pru Life UK China Jade branch located at the ground floor of Escolta Twin Towers in the heart of Chinatown, followed by a marching band along Escolta, Quintin Parades, Ongpin and Dasmariñas Streets. In true Chinese fashion, ang paos were also given to spectators to share the good luck.
“We are very happy to make tremendous noise to usher in fortune as we welcome the Lunar New Year in Binondo,” said Pru Life UK Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Allan Tumbaga. “Just as the Year of the Earth Dog rewards honesty and loyalty, we also wish the Chinese-Filipino community across the country be also rewarded with prosperous wealth and health.”
