Thousands of runners took over the streets of Makati City and Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City on 30 August for the PRU POP (Promise of Protection) Run, bringing together fitness, fun, and community as Pru Life UK marked its 30th anniversary in the Philippines.
PRU Pop Run took runners beyond the usual race-day experience. It blended wellness with music, nostalgia, and the best of Filipino pop culture, keeping runners energized through every stride and every kilometer.
From beginners to competitive athletes, the event welcomed runners of all levels. With the goal to get more people to move, it featured a range of distances—from 3K, 5K, 10K, and 21K to a commemorative 30K marking Pru Life UK’s 30-year journey in the country—giving everyone a chance to run a category that suited them and enjoy the journey toward a healthier, more active lifestyle.
Adding a nostalgic vibe to the event are the designs for the finisher’s medal that include the smartphone (for 3K finishers), analog TV (5K), film camera (10K), cassette player (21K), and game console (30K).
More than a running event, PRU Pop Run brought Pru Life UK’s Promise of Protection closer to the community. The event reflects the company’s commitment to helping Filipinos protect their future by encouraging them to make intentional choices today.
