When will the Guaranteed Issue Offer (GIO) campaign run?

The GIO campaign has been extended!
Campaign period is now from September 15, 2023 until March 15, 2024 only.

What are the qualifications to avail of the offer?

The campaign is open to PRULink Assurance Account Plus (PAA Plus), PRULink Exact Protector (PEP), and PRULink Elite Protector Series (Elite) policyowners:

  • with issue date of 1 September, 2022 to 31 July, 2023;
  • whose base plan and critical illness riders (CCB, LCB and LCP) were issued at standard rating;
  • where the attained age of insured by 30 September, 2023 is 19-55 years old; and
  • who do not have a US Indicia (identification as a U.S. citizen or resident), adverse medical findings or claims records (filed, approved or denied).

 

All of the requirements mentioned must be met for you to avail of the offer.

If the client was found to have a record on the Medical Information Database (MID) during evaluation, the GIO application may be declined.

What are we offering to our policyowners?

Base plan and accelerated CI riders (CCB and LCB)

  • Increase in the sum assured of up to PhP 2 million or 50% of existing coverage, whichever is lower.


Non-accelerated CI riders (LCP)

  • Increase in the sum assured of up to PhP 1 million or 50% of existing coverage, whichever is lower.


There is independence between these offerings, wherein qualified policyholders can choose either a basic plan or CI increase or both.

What offer will the policyowners see in their GIO letter?

Pru Life UK policyowners/clients will be presented with the option to increase their base plan and/or CI rider sum assured, for policies with attached CI riders.

What are the requirements that I need to comply with to avail of the offer?
  1. Fill out the Policy Amendment Request Form (PARF). Accomplish page 1 [Details of the Policyowner], page 3, items 12, 13 and 14 [Sum Assured/Benefit Amount/Premium/Riders] and affix your signature on page 4-5 [Declaration of Understanding] and page 5 [Certification of Customary Signature for Policyowner] to certify that you are in good health.

  2. Submit the accomplished form to your servicing agent. In case you do not have an agent, you may submit the form via email to policy.admin@prulifeuk.com.ph.

  3. Pay the additional premium online or have it applied in your next premium payment.

You may refer to the examples below to determine the schedule of premium payment.

Example 1: If premium falls due within the campaign period

  • Pay the incremental increase in premium based on your payment mode.

  • Both the next premium due and the incremental increase in premium must be paid.

How will I be billed if my policy is under ADA or Credit card facility?

If your policy is updated in status and is currently enrolled in Automatic Debit Arrangement (ADA) or paying via credit card, the old premium plus the incremental increase in premium due to GIO will automatically be billed in your next due date. In case your policy is not updated in status and you want to avail of the GIO offer, you need to settle any unpaid premiums prior to availing the offer. You will also need to express that you are amenable to be billed in your next due date the incremental increase in premium due to GIO by filling out the Special Instructions section on page 3 of the PARF or submitting a signed letter of request.

How will the increase in coverage via GIO affect the total number of years that I am required to pay my premium?

Premium tranching shall apply. This means that the increase in regular premium will be payable in the same number of years as the original regular premium.

How will the increase in premium (due to increase in coverage) be treated in terms of fund allocation?

What will be the effect of availing the offer in my policy's contestability period?

The increase in sum assured will run its own contestability period which is two (2) years from the effective date of the increase in the sum assured.

Will my application still be accepted if I want to avail but with a lower or higher additional premium or coverage than what's being offered?

The application will be accepted.

For applications with additional premium or coverage lower than the offer, your agent will be required to generate a sales illustration and submit it together with the completed Policy Amendment Request Form.

For applications with additional premium or coverage higher than the offer, your agent will also be required to generate a sales illustration. Moreover, you may need to submit additional requirements like health declaration, financial documents, etc. as regular underwriting procedure will be applied.

Is it possible for me to include other requests such as inclusion, deletion, increase or decrease of benefit amount of riders other than attached Crisis Cover Benefit (CCB), Life Care Benefit (LCB), Life Care Plus (LCP)?

It is possible for you to include, exclude, increase or decrease the benefit amount of other riders attached to your policy. These additional requests will require a proposal signed by your agent, and the regular underwriting process will apply.

Is it possible for me to avail this offer if I am an OFW or currently out of the country?

You may avail of the offer. You may send a scanned copy of the consularized Policy Amendment Request Form for it to be processed immediately. However, you still need to send the original copy of the consularized document to Pru Life UK within 3 months of signing the PARF.

Can I pay online given the Enhanced Community Quarantine being implemented in most areas?

You may pay your premium due and the additional GIO premium via the following:

  1. PRUAccess

  2. GCash

  3. Online bills payment through accredited banks (BPI, BDO, Metrobank, PNB, Security Bank & Robinsons Bank)

  4. Payment Centers (SM & Bayad Center)
