Pru Life UK empowers small businesses in the Philippines with Business@Pulse

The online platform aims to simplify access to benefits.

Leading life insurer Pru Life UK today introduced Business@Pulse, a new digital solution designed to support local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to grow their business, increase productivity, and build a more engaged workforce. Launched on November 30, this online platform aims to broaden and simplify access to insurance and employee benefits, customizing a suite of solutions that matches the specific size, needs and budgets of growing businesses in the Philippines.

With the assistance of Pru Life UK’s insurance agents, SME owners can choose the coverage that best fits their needs, from the comprehensive group insurance plans the company offers for SMEs to help them protect their employees and business.

“The pandemic has placed greater emphasis on health and protection. We have to play our part in driving financial inclusion by lowering the barriers for local SMEs to access protection solutions. We strive to lead the way in helping SME owners digitize their business processes and meeting the evolving needs of their employees in the new normal,” says Pru Life UK President and Chief Executive Officer Antonio De Rosas.

Pru Life UK Vice President of Enterprise Business Marlette Jaranilla officially launched Business@Pulse at a virtual event today. According to Jaranilla, Business@Pulse comprises three key components that offer a seamless digital experience for each user.

For SME owners, the Sales feature enables them to easily submit and view their company information and employee data, reducing the time needed for a Pru Life UK agent to generate a proposal while presenting to SME owners. They then can view the policies as well as review the coverage of their employees anytime, anywhere through the HR feature. SME owners can also access these features to keep abreast of the latest information and offerings of Pru Life UK’s products and services as needed.

For the SME employees, all features will be available on Pulse where they can interact with the benefits such as submitting and making insurance claims, using their flexible benefits and managing their leave at their fingertips.

The launch of Business@Pulse is part of Pru Life UK’s “We DO Innovation” commitment to make healthcare more affordable and accessible for everyone in the Philippines through leveraging digital technologies and best-in-class partnerships.

“The pandemic has expanded our role to become the all-round wellness partner of Filipinos, helping them protect their health and wealth in times of uncertainties. Business@Pulse is designed to accelerate financial inclusivity for businesses outside traditional safety nets and to harness technology to help people get the most out of life,” says Pru Life UK Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Marketing Officer Allan Tumbaga.

Business@Pulse will be available on the internet in the initial phase and integrated into Pru Life UK's mobile app Pulse soon.
