PRULove for Life

• Death Benefit – We provide a lump sum death benefit equal to the Sum Assured plus any accumulated dividends less any outstanding policy loan if the death of the Life Insured occurs before the Policy Maturity Date.

• Maturity Benefit – We provide a lump sum maturity benefit equal to the Sum Assured plus any accumulated dividends less any outstanding policy loan if the Life Insured survives until Policy Maturity Date (age 100).

• Participating – PRULove for Life is a participating policy. The Company will determine yearly the part of the divisible surplus of the Company that may be distributed to this Policy as dividend, if any. Dividends may be payable on this Policy every policy anniversary date but are not guaranteed.

1. Optional Riders - Optional benefits can also be attached to PRULove for Life for a more comprehensive protection.

   • Accidental Death and Disablement (ADD) – Receive an additional benefit amount if the life insured passes away or becomes disabled or dismembered due to an accident, up to age 73. ​

   • Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) Plus – Get lump-sum cash when the life insured become totally and permanently disabled for at least 6 continuous months due to a bodily injury or disease, up to age 70.​

   • Personal Accident – Get additional cash if the life insured suffers from an accident that may result to bodily injury or death, up to age 73​.

   • Life Care Plus (LCP) – Get additional benefit if the life insured is diagnosed or has undergone surgery due to any of the 36 critical illnesses before the policy anniversary immediately following his/her 85th birthday.

   • Hospital Income (HI) – Provides daily and lump sum cash benefits to the life insured to cover the cost of hospitalization due to injury or illness until age 65. Exclusion on pre-existing conditions applies.​

   • Payor Waiver of Premium (PWP) – Waives the remaining premium of the base plan, TPD Plus, ADD benefit and Personal Accident Riders if the payor dies or becomes totally and permanently disabled. If the life insured is a minor, premiums are waived untilthe life insured reaches age of maturity or the payment term ends.​

   • Waiver of Premium on Total and Permanent Disability (WPTPD) – Waives future premiums the base plan, ADD benefit and Personal Accident Riders if the life insured becomes totally and permanently disabled before age 60.​

   • Life Care Waiver (LCW) – Waives all future premiums for the baseplan, ADD, TPD Plus, Personal Accident Riders and Hospital Income riders if the life insured gets diagnosed or has undergone surgery due to a covered critical illness​

2. Non-forfeiture Options – Option that the Policyowner selected during product application which s/he can apply when premium due is not paid within the grace period and the Policy has accumulated cash value to keep the policy in force. The following are the Non-Forfeiture options available for this plan: Extended Term Insurance, Net Surrender Value, Reduced Paid-up Insurance, or Automatic Premium Loan.

   The full policy provisions of the features and benefits specified in this page shall apply. Should there be any inconsistency between the features and benefits stated herein and the Policy Contract, the latter shall prevail. 

If the Hospital Income Rider is attached to a PRULove for Life Policy, the following items must be taken into account:

• Exclusions:No Rider Benefit Amount will be paid, if the claim arises or results from or is contributed by either directly or indirectly, the following circumstances:

  a. any period of Hospital Confinement wherein the entire confinement has not been previously recommended by a Physician.
  
  b. Pre-Existing Conditions, as defined below, unless the Life Insured has been continuously covered for twelve (12) months from Effectivity Date of this Benefit or the date of last reinstatement of this Policy, if any.
  

  c. injury or illness incurred while in any attempted commission of, or willful participation by the Life Insured in any crime punishable under any prevailing law or ordinance of the Philippines or of any country in which the crime was attempted;
  
  d. any weapon or instrument employing atomic fission, thermonuclear fusion or any form of radiation, whether in time of peace or war; or
  
  e. while the Life Insured is in active service in the armed forces of any country or any international authority. In such an event, upon written notification by the Life Insured, the Company shall return the pro-rata premium for any such period of service; or
  
  f. travel or flight in any vehicle or device for aerial navigation except while riding solely as a fare-paying passenger and not as an operator or crew member, in or on, boarding or alighting from a certified passenger aircraft operated by a regularly established commercial airline on any regularly scheduled, non-scheduled, special or chartered trip; or
  
  g. injury sustained while under the influence of alcohol or unprescribed drugs; or
  
  h. hernia, ptomaine, or other bacterial infections which are not pyogenic infections occurring at the same time with or because of any accidental cut or wound; or
  
  i. infection with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), AIDS Related Complex (ARC), or any opportunistic infections and/or malignant neoplasm (tumor) found in the presence of HIV, AIDS or ARC. Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome shall have the meaning assigned to it by the World Health Organization, at the time of hospitalization. Opportunistic infections include, but are not limited to Pneumocystic carinii pneumonia, organism or chronic enteritis virus and disseminated fungi; or

  j. Malignant neoplasm shall include but not be limited to Kaposi’s Sarcoma, central nervous system lymphoma, and/or other malignancies now known or which became known as causes of death in the presence of AIDS; or
  
  k. psychosis, mental or nervous disorders, sleep disturbance disorders; or
  
  l. poison, gas or fumes voluntarily or involuntary taken; or
  
  m. engaging or taking part in driving or riding in any kind of race, professional sports or hazardous sports, underwater activities involving the use of breathing apparatus, flying or aerial activities other than as a fare-paying passenger
  
  For purposes of this Benefit, a Pre-Existing Condition shall refer to an injury, illness or conditions which existed or was existing within the two-year period prior to the Effectivity Date of this Benefit or the date of last reinstatement of this Policy, whichever is later, and for which the Life Insured has been investigated, diagnosed or treated or in which signs or symptoms have manifested and would have caused an ordinary prudent person to seek diagnosis, care or treatment.

• Cooling-off Period- If, after availing of the Hospital Income Rider, you decide that it is not suitable to your needs, you may cancel such rider by completing and submitting the appropriate form and returning the Policy Data Page to us within fifteen (15) days from the date you receive it. We will issue a new Policy Data Page without the rider and refund the premium you paid pertaining to said rider in full.
