Pru Life UK Shares SAFE STEPS Quick Tips to Help Protect Filipinos Against COVID-19

SAFE STEPS COVID-19 aims to enhance public awareness of COVID-19 and help curb the spread of the disease.

Prudence Foundation, the community investment arm of Pru Life UK’s parent company Prudential, has launched SAFE STEPS COVID-19 to enhance public awareness of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and help curb the spread of the disease.

Developed in partnership with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and National Geographic, SAFE STEPS COVID-19 comprises a Safety Card and a public service announcement (PSA) video that provide easy-to-understand educational messages and encourages simple preventative measures against COVID-19. These include the symptoms of COVID-19, hygienic and social distancing measures, how to properly wear a mask, as well as the tips to obtain reliable information and verify the sources.

The Safety Card is available in English, Filipino and eight other languages. It is accessible via the SAFE STEPS website and available on Pulse, Pru Life UK’s all-in-one health management app that helps people access healthcare services and obtain real-time health information.

The SAFE STEPS COVID-19 video is currently being aired across FOX channels and reaching 250 million people in Asia including the Philippines. The video with Filipino subtitles is also available  on the SAFE STEPS website.

“Ensuring easy access to the right information and reminding people of precautionary measures against the disease are simple steps that we can take to keep our families and communities safe. Protecting people’s health and wellbeing is in line with our mission to help build more secure and resilient communities across Asia,” says Prudence Foundation Executive Director Marc Fancy.
