Promoting access to basic health services and early childcare

Pru Life UK donated three GE Healthcare Vscan Access Ultrasound Scanners to the municipalities of Bantayan, Madridejos, and Santa Fe in Bantayan Island, Cebu in 2018 to help administer proper pre-natal care for pregnant women and children by identifying high risk pregnancies and other potential medical conditions.

The donation, which is in line with the Company’s commitment to promote health and wellness among Filipinos, is in partnership with MyDocNow, which integrates technology and the improved availability of healthcare to provide benefits across many areas of the healthcare system.

In 2017, Pru Life UK also donated three portable ultrasound machines to Alalay sa Kaunlaran Foundation to aid the social non-government organization’s medical missions for underserved communities in remote areas, including Aurora, Quezon.

Pru Life UK Gawad Kalinga Felicity Village

As part of its continuing commitment to help communities, Pru Life UK partnered with Gawad Kalinga to provide homes for 86 families from Parañaque City whose homes where ravaged by fire in 2006.

A brighter future – Pru Life UK’s partnership with Stiftung Solarenergie Foundation

In 2011, Pru Life UK partnered with Stiftung Solarenergie Foundation’s Ride for Light to provide environment-friendly portable solar-powered home systems to the Philippine Eagle Nature Center and three remote communities in Bulacan, Negros Occidental, and Davao provinces. This was followed by the distribution of 250 Sun Transfer1 (ST1) solar lanterns to off-grid communities in Palawan.

Pru Life UK 15th anniversary blowout to the public – Free MRT ride

In celebration of its 15th anniversary, Pru Life UK provided free rides on September 30, 2011 to 75,000 MRT commuters or 16% of MRT's daily average ridership of 450,000 passengers.
